OU Medical Center has three PRN positions open in the Social Services
department. Persons accepted for the positions would be expected to do the
following.
Provide social services to patients and their families for an assigned
medical service. Conduct intake interviews of patients and/or family members
 to gather needed information. Must be able to make psychosocial assessments
and relate findings to necessary hospital staff. Position requires counseling patients and
families regarding diseases, treatments, social or financial situations, emotional stress and other problems.

Provide crisis counseling to patients and families. Act as a liaison between patients/families and the hospital
staff and other agencies. Assist in discharge planning and referrals to the
community for ongoing services. Applicants must have good computer skills; as good
documentation is required.


Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Social Worker or related field; and 1 year of
experience in social work.

This is a Full-Time position for a LCSW at the North Fork Correctional facility in Sayre, OK.  It is in a rural area in the western portion of OK, 30 minutes from the border of TX. It houses inmates from various states.  It is a State all-male facility owned and operated by Corrections Corporation of America. Hours will be approximately 8am-5pm, and there may be some shared call coverage: ex: case of a suicide attempt or inmate placed in segregation that has a mental health history.

QUALIFICATIONS for LCSW:

Graduate from an accredited college or university with an advanced degree in psychology, a master's degree in social work or an appropriate degree in a related clinical area.  Must have three years of professional level social work experience including one year in a supervisory position.  Must possess appropriate certification or licensing.  A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.  Salary of LCSW will be $60,000-65,000
